Job summary

Penspen is seeking a Construction Superintendent(Structure) to supervise onshore/offshore structural construction activities in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure work is performed safely, to quality standards, and in line with project specifications and schedules.

The role requires 15–18+ years total experience, with 3–5 years in offshore structural construction within Oil & Gas, and familiarity with ADNOC Onshore is a plus. PMC/EPC background is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 15+ years of total experience in construction, with offshore exposure is preferred.
• 3–5 years in offshore structural construction within Oil & Gas.

Responsibilities

• Supervise offshore structural construction activities, including steel structures, foundations, and concrete works.
• Ensure construction aligns with approved drawings, specs and schedules.
• Coordinate with contractors and multidisciplinary teams for safe, timely execution.
• Monitor quality, productivity, and compliance with HSE standards.

• Support planning, risk assessments, and work method statements.

Main Purpose of Role To supervise and coordinate all offshore structural construction activities, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise offshore structural construction activities, including steel structures, foundations, and concrete works.
• Ensure construction is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Coordinate with contractors and multidisciplinary teams to achieve safe and timely project execution.
• Monitor quality, productivity, and compliance with HSE standards.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve construction-related technical issues.
• Support construction planning, risk assessments, and work method statements.
• Ensure proper completion, documentation, and handover of structural works.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

Experience Required

• 15–18+ years of total experience.
• 3–5 years of offshore structural construction experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• PMC/EPC construction experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel, concrete structures, and offshore construction methodologies.
• Familiarity with international structural codes and HSE standards.
• Previous ADNOC Onshore experience is an advantage.
