A leading global urban consulting firm is seeking experienced Construction Managers for an upcoming high-speed rail project in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in major infrastructure projects, particularly in the Middle East. Responsibilities include overseeing various construction works, ensuring safety and quality standards, and coordinating project teams to achieve objectives.

Qualifications

• 15+ years' experience in major infrastructure or rail projects, preferably in HSR.
• Experience in the UAE / Middle East preferred.
• Background in PMC / Owner's Engineer / Contractor roles is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee station civil, architectural, and MEP construction works.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards.
• Coordinate with design, interface, and project teams to resolve site issues.
• Review construction documents and progress reports.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover.

The Role

Surbana Jurong (SJ) is seeking Construction Managers - Stations for an upcoming high-speed rail project in the UAE, currently under Expression of Interest (EOI). The role involves managing station construction activities and ensuring that quality, safety, schedule, and cost objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee station civil, architectural, and MEP construction works.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards.
• Coordinate with design, interface, and project teams to resolve site issues.
• Review construction documents and progress reports.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover.

Key Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 15+ years' experience in major infrastructure or rail projects, preferably in HSR.
• Experience in the UAE / Middle East preferred.
• Background in PMC / Owner's Engineer / Contractor roles is an advantage.

Key Knowledge and Skills

• Strong leadership, coordination, and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of station construction, QA / QC, and HSE practices.
• Ability to drive performance and manage multiple stakeholders.
