Construction Manager – Roads & Infrastructure

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager – Roads & Infrastructure to join our dynamic team. As a leading Project Management Consultancy, we are dedicated to delivering high‑quality construction projects that meet and exceed client expectations, ensuring efficient execution within budget and compliance with quality and safety standards from inception to completion.

What you'll be doing:
  • Client Representation: Act as the representative of Parsons with the Client/Employer, Construction Supervision Consultants, Contractors, Subcontractors, and Suppliers during project execution. Represent the client in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings.
  • Project Management: Oversee the establishment of the Construction Management Plan, Site Specific Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other required documents.
  • Inspection and Supervision: Supervise Engineers on assigned projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
  • Cost and Schedule Management: Devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, accommodate significant changes to the scope of work, and maintain current and timely change orders. Supervise the preparation of the Client’s Monthly Construction Progress Report and Contract Status report.
  • Safety and Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce safety and emergency procedures, conduct weekly site inspections with the contractor’s safety representative, and set up and accredit the onsite materials testing laboratory.
  • Financial Management: Supervise the development of monthly Parsons invoices, review for accuracy, and prepare quarterly construction management reports.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, proactively addressing challenges that may arise during construction.
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project objectives.
  • Procurement: Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and services, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.
  • Client Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication with clients, addressing their needs, concerns, and expectations.
  • Sustainability and Compliance: Promote and implement sustainable construction practices where feasible, and ensure full compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Project Closeout: Oversee project closeout activities, including inspections, punch lists, and final documentation to ensure a seamless transition to the client.
  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate project performance and processes, seeking opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a construction‑related field.
  • Minimum 15+ years of construction management experience in roads and infrastructure projects, with at least 5 years in the UAE.
  • Prior experience in overseeing and managing the construction of major projects valued at AED 350 million or more.
  • Willingness to relocate to construction site locations is expected.
