Job summary

Nova International General Contracting seeks an experienced Construction Manager to lead planning, coordination and execution of Abu Dhabi-based projects. You will ensure on-time delivery within budget, while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

The role requires overseeing site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders, with strong leadership and communication skills to manage project plans and approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.
• 15–20 years of progressive experience in construction project execution.
• Minimum 5+ years in a managerial role overseeing large-scale projects.
• Proven track record of delivering projects in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and site management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full construction lifecycle from mobilization to handover.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
• Ensure milestones are achieved in line with contractual obligations.
• Manage day-to-day construction activities and ensure smooth site operations.
• Monitor progress, productivity, and quality against project schedules.
• Identify risks and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Serve as the primary contact for clients, consultants, and contractors on site.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, QA/QC, and HSE teams.
• Communicate progress and key issues to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications and Abu Dhabi building codes.
• Collaborate with QA/QC to uphold high-quality standards.
• Support audits, inspections, and authority approvals as required.
• Enforce strict adherence to HSE policies on site.
• Promote a proactive safety culture across teams and subcontractors.
• Monitor cost and contribute to budget control measures.
• Review subcontractor performance and certify works for payment.
• Support resolution of contractual and commercial matters.

Job Description
