Job Scope
- Coordinating the construction works performed by main contractors at various project sites in SNOC i.e. Sajaa plant, LPG Terminal, Condensate Terminal, wellhead facilities and pipelines/flowlines in all fields.
- To ensure that construction works in SNOC are executed safely, on time, within budget and according to the approved design, quality and HSE standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently and in line with approved drawings and specifications.
- Supervise contractors and sub-contractors to ensure proper construction methods and quality of workmanship.
- Coordinate multi discipline works (civil, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation).
- Ensure that construction schedules are met and highlight any delays or issues at early stage.
- Review construction drawings, isometrics, specifications, method statements & risk assessments before implementation.
- Resolve field issues in coordination with engineering and operation teams.
- Ensure that any site modifications are properly approved.
- Ensure that all works meets project quality requirements.
- Verify material traceability, welding procedures, hydrotesting and inspections as per approved ITPs (inspection and test plan).
- Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspection requests, punch list clearance and documentation reviews/approval.
- Review and endorse construction dossiers.
- Track construction progress against schedules and report deviations.
- Identify and report any delays, resource shortages or technical bottlenecks.
- Participate in Joint walkthroughs and prepare punch list.
- Ensure all construction activities are completed and documented before handover to commissioning team.
- Support pre-commissioning and mechanical completion activities.
Qualifications / Experience /Special Conditions or Requirements
B.E. Mechanical
Experience and Special Conditions or requirements
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience as construction engineer in oil & gas industry
Key Skill and Competencies
- Strong understanding of Oil & Gas industry systems
- Knowledge of construction codes and standards
- Proficiency in planning tools (Primavera, MS Project)
- Understanding of HSE and QA/QC requirements
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multidiscipline teams under tight deadlines
