Dubai Culture seeks a skilled conservator to analyze and preserve museum artifacts across metals, wood, ceramics and stone. You will lead restoration projects and create detailed digital records to support the collection.

Analyze and develop a preservation plan for museum artifacts (metal, wood, ceramics, stone) based on global museum best practices.
Conduct inventory and registration of artifacts by contributing to the creation of digital records for the collection.
Perform restoration work on artifacts and museum pieces in accordance with global best practices—including specialized restoration tailored to the specific type and material of the artifact—to protect them from damage or deterioration.
Prepare detailed reports on restoration projects and link them to the digital records of the artifacts.
Collaborate with museum teams on the transport, restoration, maintenance, and installation of artifacts for temporary exhibitions, and prepare and submit condition reports for artifacts displayed in both permanent and temporary exhibitions.
Ensure that display settings—whether for permanent exhibitions or temporary displays—meet the necessary environmental requirements for the artifacts, and raise awareness regarding these standards.
Prepare lists of materials required for the conservation laboratory and coordinate the procurement of all supplies needed for the collection preservation plan, ensuring their availability.
Carry out work across various locations, including museums, heritage sites, storage facilities, and historic buildings.
Participate in collection audits and inventory processes—including the comprehensive annual inventory—to compile accurate records of museum artifacts and heritage site holdings, and submit the necessary reports to the direct supervisor.
Bachelor's degree in Conservation (artifacts and heritage objects: metals, wood, ceramics, stone) or a qualification equivalent to this specialization.
4 years of experience in the restoration of museum artifacts.
