Job summary

Progressive is seeking an experienced Intelligent Completions Engineer to lead offshore and onshore well completion operations in the Abu Dhabi region. The role requires hands-on expertise managing intelligent and upper completion systems, gauge and fiber optic deployments, and space-out calculations.

You will supervise deployment, test equipment, and provide technical oversight at the wellsite, interfacing with customers and rig personnel while ensuring strict HSE and quality adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or diploma in engineering or related technical field.
• Hands-on experience with intelligent and upper completion operations.
• Experience leading gauge and fiber optic installations.
• Proven ability to prepare completion tallies, schematics, and space-out calculations.
• Experience with PDHG, fiber optics, ICVs, and intelligent well systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work offshore and remote sites.

Job description

We are seeking experienced Intelligent Completions Engineers / Specialists to support offshore and onshore well completion operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading intelligent completion installations, fiber optic and gauge deployments, completion tally preparation, and space-out calculations while providing technical oversight during field execution.

This is a hands-on field-focused role requiring strong upper completions expertise and the ability to independently lead completion operations at the wellsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead installation and execution of intelligent and upper completion systems.
• Prepare and verify completion tallies, schematics, and space-out calculations.
• Supervise deployment of completion strings and downhole completion equipment.
• Execute and support smart completion operations involving:
  • Permanent Downhole Gauges (PDHG)
  • Fiber Optic Monitoring Systems
  • Intelligent Completion Systems
  • Inflow Control Valves (ICVs)
• Conduct equipment testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and post-job reporting.
• Interface directly with customers and rig-site personnel during operations.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and operational procedures.
• Support job planning, risk assessments, and technical reviews.
