Job summary

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Systems & Processes Lead with 8+ years of Oil & Gas / EPC experience to lead commissioning systems and processes engineering for a large-scale project. The role will be responsible for commissioning planning, systemization, procedure development, ICAPS implementation, field readiness, execution support, performance testing and final handover. The candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate closely with Engineering, Construction, Operations, vendors and other project stakeholders.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead system and subsystem breakdown and commissioning planning.
• Develop the Commissioning Execution Plan, systemization strategy and commissioning sequence.
• Lead commissioning deliverables, procedures, OTPs, test procedures, work packs and dossiers.
• Act as the technical lead and key user for ICAPS, including task structures, test packs, certificates and workflows.
• Ensure commissioning and performance test activities are properly planned and traceable in ICAPS.
• Participate in HAZOP, 3D model and design reviews to ensure the project is commissionable and operable.
• Review P&IDs, equipment data sheets and engineering deliverables against commissioning requirements.
• Manage interfaces with existing facilities, other contractors and operating systems.
• Lead preparation for site commissioning, including manpower, vendors, temporary facilities, tools and consumables.
• Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary commissioning teams during site execution.
• Coordinate commissioning priorities with Construction and Pre-commissioning teams.
• Manage RFC, AOC and TOM certification and handover activities.
• Support the Commissioning Manager with progress reporting and technical coordination.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Process Systems Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of Oil & Gas / Petrochemical EPC experience in Commissioning, Process or Systems Engineering.
• Strong experience across the complete commissioning lifecycle, from engineering preparation and systemization through execution, performance testing and handover.
• Proficient in OPERCOM methodology and ICAPS software; advanced ICAPS user/administrator experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commissioning planning, system breakdown, procedures, test packs and handover documentation.
• Experience with HAZOP, 3D model reviews, P&IDs and equipment data sheets.
• Strong multidisciplinary coordination, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Middle East experience preferred, particularly Iraq and TotalEnergies projects.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Must be willing to work on a long-term assignment in Iraq and comply with project travel, accommodation and security requirements.
