Job summary

KBR Inc. in Abu Dhabi seeks a Commissioning Superintendent Mechanical with onshore site experience for mega EPC projects.

The role requires a minimum 18 years in commissioning/operation readiness, with at least 5 years in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects, GCC region preferred. The incumbent will coordinate with licensors and vendors, review procedures, support senior management, and ensure readiness for MC and RFSU certificates, while managing punch lists and handovers per contract

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is a MUST.
• 18+ years of relevant commissioning/operation readiness experience (GCC region preferred).
• At least 5 years in a similar position in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects; sour gas, hydrogen, hydrodesulfurization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Licensors and Vendors to monitor commissioning activities per their procedures.
• Oversee commissioning activities for sales gas and condensate areas.
• Review pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures.
• Provide advice and support for the Sr. Commissioning Manager.
• Review commissioning manuals issued by EPC Contractors or Vendors.
• Verify mechanical completion certificate requirements for systems/subsystems.
• Participate in commissioning and related meetings.
• Troubleshoot to resolve commissioning obstacles.
• Verify readiness of systems/subsystems for MC and RFSU certificates issuance.
• Monitor and close out punch lists in the area.
• Ensure completion and handover per contractual documents.

KBR is looking for a Commissioning Superintendent Mechanical with Onshore Site experience in MEGA EPC projects to be based in Abu Dhabi for PMC project.

Experience required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is a MUST.
• Having a minimum of 18 years of relevant experience in the commissioning / operation readiness position with experience in GCC region as preference.
• Must have at least (5 ) years of experience in a similar position in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects with preference of commissioning sour gas ,Hydrogen production, Hydro- desulfurization projects.

• Coordinate with Licensors and Vendors to ensure close monitoring of commissioning activities are within Licensors and Vendors guiding procedures.
• Responsible for the progress of commissioning activities of sales gas and Condensate area.
• Review pre-commissioning and commissioning Procedures.
• Provide the required advice and support for Sr. Commissioning Manager a.
• Review commissioning manuals issued by EPC Contractor or Vendors.
• Verify mechanical completion certificates requirements for various systems and subsystems.
• Participate in commissioning meetings and other related meetings.
• Participate in troubleshooting analysis to resolve commissioning obstacles.
• Verify the readiness of systems/subsystems for MC and RFSU certificates issuance.
