Job summary

Kanadevia Inova is seeking a Commissioning Engineer for our Abu Dhabi project to lead commissioning activities within the system scope. You will ensure that design requirements, customer contracts and project specifications are met while coordinating across technical departments and on-site teams.

The role requires experience with large-scale industrial plants, preferably KVI or Energy from Waste projects, and a strong background in thermal plant processes, safety standards, and on-site

Qualifications

• Experience on large-scale industrial plants as a commissioning engineer.
• Experience on KVI or Energy from Waste plants an advantage.
• Thermal Plant process and operating knowledge (EfW/Biomass/Coal/Oil).
• Experience in complex construction and commissioning projects.
• SMSTS/IOSH/NEBOSH Equivalent Supervisor Qualification required.
• Business fluent in English; German or other languages an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all commissioning activities in their system scope.
• Ensure design, customer contract and project specifications are met.
• Provide input to the project schedule when required.
• Identify deviations and risks and act with technical departments.
• Conduct and check progress control on site.
• Delegate instructions to assigned employees on the construction site.
• Act as contact person for the customer on site for commissioning and operations.
• Ensure regulated and safe operation and compliance with HSE requirements.
• Complete Commissioning QA/QC and handover documentation before takeover/PAC.

Job description

• Has the responsibility and ability to complete manual tasks in the field
• Responsible for the preparation control and storage of project documentation
• Manage and coordinate all commissioning activities in their system scope
• Ensure that the requirements of the design customer contract and the project-specific specifications are met.
• Provide input to the project time schedule when required
• Identify deviations and risks and act in co-ordination with the technical departments
• Conduct and check progress control
• Responsible for delegating instructions to the assigned employees on the construction site
• Contact person for the customer on the construction site for commissioning and operational matters as requested or instructed by the commissioning manager.
• Responsible for regulated and safe operation
• Is aware of the HSE requirements relevant to the function implements them and complies with them
• Responsible to ensure all Commissioning QA/QCand hand over documentation is completed before takeover/PACfor his system scope.
• Communicate with Engineering and create lessons learned to improve the process

Qualifications :

• Thermal Plant (EfW Biomass Coal Oil) process and operating knowledge
• Experience in complex construction and commissioning projects
• SMSTS/IOSH/NEBOSH Equivalent Supervisor Qualification
• Business fluent in English German or other foreign languages an advantage
• Good knowledge and experience in Microsoft applications
• Valid SCC training certificate or equivalent (Safety Certification for Contractors)
• Basic knowledge of sub-contractor management
• User knowledge of PIRS (would be an advantage)
• Good knowledge of function plans and PID (R&I Schema)
• DCS system knowledge
• Ability to manage subcontractors
