Job summary

WOODplc in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Commissioning Director to lead the commissioning strategy for a multi-billion dollar onshore oil and gas EPCm project. You will oversee testing, verification, handover readiness, and coordination with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.

The role requires a proven track record in delivering complex projects, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and developing thorough commissioning documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Commissioning Director on large onshore oil & gas EPCm projects.
• Proven track record in overseeing complex multi-billion dollar projects.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing commissioning plans and procedures to ensure a systematic approach.
• Overseeing and coordinating the testing and verification of systems and equipment to ensure they meet design specifications and operational requirements.
• Ensuring all systems and equipment function correctly and safely before handover.
• Preparing and maintaining comprehensive commissioning documentation, including test results and certificates.
• Collaborating with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and communication.
• Identifying potential risks during commissioning and developing strategies to mitigate them.
• Providing training and support to operations and maintenance personnel on newly commissioned systems and equipment.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards throughout the commissioning process.
