The role involves setting up and operating large envelope HBM machines and performing precision machining functions. Qualifications

• A minimum of two years relevant experience performing precision machining functions on large machines is desired.
• Journeyman level machinist designation or equivalent is preferred.
• Must be able to work to .001 tolerance and microfinish 16 when necessary.

Job Responsibilities

• 710 Years experience in setting & operating Large Envelope HBM machines (Table Type Horizontal Boring Mill with Indexing Table) including reading and editing programs as required to perform operations.
• Set up and prepare CNC HBM Table type machines for operation including tooling selection and fixture setup.
• Operate CNC HBM machines to produce high‑quality components in accordance with manufacturing specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to ensure accurate machining processes.
• Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
• Make adjustments to machine settings and offsets as required to achieve optimal results.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years relevant experience performing precision machining functions on large machines is desired.
• Journeyman level machinist designation or equivalent is preferred.
• Must be open and available to work all shifts.
• Must be proficient with CNC controls including G and M coded commands.
• Must be able to edit or modify programs as necessary. Must be able to write minor programs.
• Must have a working knowledge of feeds and speeds for all types of material.
• Must be able to work to .001 tolerance and microfinish 16 when necessary.
• Ability to demonstrate use of various measuring instruments including dial bore gages, indicator snap gages, verniers and other specialty gaging equipment.
• Possess skills necessary to maintain accurate documentation and the ability to follow complicated procedures and document accordingly.
• Must pass all preemployment processes to include skills assessments and mechanical comprehension testing, background check and physical examination.
• High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
