Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will have the opportunity to adapt and implement sales support strategy for a designated area in accordance with the global support strategy. Each day you will ensure technical and commercial support for internal and external customers. You will also showcase your expertise by overseeing estimations bids and proposals ensuring alignment with ABB standards and targets and leading developing and coaching the Sales Support team to generate complete bids / estimations / quotations / techno commercial compliances based on customer specification customer timelines and customer requirements around Process Automation & Safety (DCS ESD FGS SIS ICSS) Power Management Systems (PMS / ECMS) Clubbed Electrics E-Houses SCADA Cyber security Digital solutions Energy market segments to achieve market competitiveness enhance winning probability while gaining profitable business for the organization .

This role is contributing to the Process Automation Energy Division in UAE Cluster which covers UAE Kuwait Bahrain Iraq and Pakistan.

You will be mainly accountable for :

Sales Support Strategy & Performance Oversight : Develops executes and reviews the sales support strategy in line with the budget and annual operating plan defines key targets monitors progress and initiates improvement actions to enhance customer support and satisfaction.

Bid and Quotation Management : Leads the preparation of RFIs RFQs and all technical financial and project management aspects of bids and quotations ensuring competitive offers aligned with market and customer conditions and selecting the most effective sales approach.

Risk & Compliance Oversight : Identifies risks in bids and contracts supports bid / no-bid decisions validates commercial technical legal and pricing terms and actively participates in project risk review processes in accordance with company policy.

Vendor Coordination & Technical Support : Evaluates supplier offers for technical compliance collaborates with Supply Chain Management and ensures the Sales team receives necessary technical support during meetings presentations and negotiations with customers.

Qualifications for the role

You have 15 plus years of experience in leading a team responsible for bids & proposals tender evaluation and estimation in Process Automation & Safety (DCS ESD FGS ICSS) Electrics E-House solutions Power Management System (ECS PMS) Substation monitoring system (SAS l ECMS) and leading a Bids team.

You are highly skilled in Process automation Process Safety Electrical solutions and familiar with the applications in Energy domain comprising of Oil and Gas Power and Water segments.

You have team management skills and have managed team comprising of both direct and indirect team members.

You possess the experience and ability to understand customer specifications and requirements knowledge on automation market products and solutions. Studying the tender and coaching the team on identifying the areas of optimization seeking customer confirmations by raising relevant techno-commercial queries and clarifications.

You have knowledge of bidding process risk identification risk quantification cash flow preparation and reviewing terms and conditions and engaging with various stake holders like Operations Engineering Supply chain Legal and Contracts along with demonstrated a track record of dealing with bids for large projects and also in fast turnaround of complete and accurate bids.

Degree in Instrumentation Electrical Electronics engineering or related field.

Knowledge and experience of UAE and Kuwait customer requirements RFQs and market would be an added advantage.
