Job summary

T-Rex Solutions seeks a Cloud FinOps professional to manage AWS cost, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for cloud expenditures. You will drive cost optimization using AWS tools and develop allocation models and chargeback processes.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in cloud financial management, hands-on AWS cost analysis, and relevant certifications. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain public trust clearance are required.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain Department of Education Public Trust clearance.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud financial management or FinOps.
• Hands-on experience supporting AWS environments and cost analysis.
• Proficiency with AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, and Cost and Usage Reports (CUR).
• Strong understanding of AWS pricing models, Savings Plans, and Reserved Instances.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for AWS cloud expenditures.
• Lead cost evaluation for AWS resource requests including compute, storage, and networking.
• Leverage AWS-native and third-party FinOps tools to identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Analyze resource utilization to recommend rightsizing, Savings Plans, and Reserved Instances.
• Provide cloud cost insights and financial reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain cloud cost allocation models, tagging standards, and chargeback processes.
• Collaborate with AWS representatives to maximize cost savings.
