Clinical psychologist with Doctorate Degree / Native Arabic Speaker with DOH License

We are seeking a highly qualified and licensed Clinical Psychologist with a Doctorate Degree with DOH License native Arabic language proficiency to join our team at a government-owned hospital in Abu Dhabi. This role is critical in delivering evidence-based psychological care to diverse patient populations promoting mental wellness and contributing to the hospitals mission of excellence in patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of mental health disorders strong clinical assessment and intervention skills and a commitment to ethical culturally sensitive practice.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations for patients across the lifespan.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and best practice guidelines.
  • Provide evidence-based psychotherapy (e.g. CBT DBT trauma-informed care) to individuals families and groups.
  • Collaborate with medical and allied health professionals in a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Deliver mental health education workshops and outreach programs for patients families and hospital staff.
  • Maintain accurate confidential and timely documentation in compliance with DOH and hospital standards.
  • Stay current with advancements in clinical psychology and mental health research through continuous professional development.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical guidelines and professional standards set by the Dubai Health Authority (DOH).
  • Support the development and implementation of mental health policies and protocols within the hospital setting.
Requirements
  • Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution.
  • Valid and active DOH license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist in the UAE.
  • Minimum 58 years of progressive clinical experience in a healthcare or hospital setting.
  • Native proficiency in Arabic with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health conditions (e.g. depression anxiety PTSD mood disorders).
  • Proven interpersonal and collaborative skills with diverse patient populations and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in mental health education program development or public awareness initiatives.
  • Familiarity with government healthcare systems and regulatory compliance (especially DOH standards).
  • Strong commitment to cultural competence and ethical practice in clinical psychology.
