Responsibilities

Amana Healthcare is seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join its team in Al Ain, UAE. The role is responsible for providing comprehensive, evidence-based psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions to patients with a range of mental health, behavioural, emotional, cognitive, and developmental needs. The Clinical Psychologist will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualised treatment plans and support positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, clinical interviews, and appropriate psychometric evaluations.
• Develop individualised, evidence-based treatment plans based on patients’ clinical needs.
• Deliver individual and group psychological interventions using recognised therapeutic approaches.
• Assess and manage emotional, behavioural, cognitive, developmental, and mental health conditions.
• Monitor patient progress and adapt therapeutic interventions accordingly.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, therapists, nurses, and other multidisciplinary professionals.
• Provide psychological guidance and education to patients and families.
• Identify and appropriately escalated clinical risks requiring further psychiatric or multidisciplinary assessment.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely clinical documentation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, clinical governance, quality improvement, and professional development activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology followed by a recognised postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology, or equivalent qualification meeting UAE licensing requirements.
• Valid DOH licence as a Clinical Psychologist, or eligibility to obtain the required licence.
• Relevant clinical experience in psychological assessment and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Strong knowledge of psychological assessment, case formulation, treatment planning, and therapeutic methodologies.
• Excellent clinical judgement, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
• Strong commitment to patient-centered care, professional ethics, confidentiality, and clinical quality.
