Job summary

American Hospital Dubai is seeking a qualified Microbiology Technologist to perform a broad range of microbiology testing across clinical specimens, including bacteriology, mycology, parasitology, and virology. The role requires DHA licensure and at least two years of Medical Microbiology experience.

The successful candidate will ensure accurate reporting, participate in quality control, maintain LIS records, and support students and trainees within a busy hospital microbiology laboratory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory technology or microbiology.
• Current Dubai Health Authority (DHA) License – Microbiology Technologist.
• Minimum of two years' experience in Medical Microbiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced microbiology testing on clinical specimens.
• Conduct bacteriological, mycological, parasitological, and virological analyses.
• Ensure timely, accurate reporting within turnaround times and communicate critical results.
• Maintain LIS documentation and manage reagents, controls, and supplies.
• Provide mentoring and training to students and junior staff.
