Claims and Accrual Manager

This position works out of our UAE location in the Abbott Nutrition Division

About Nutrition Division

Our nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow, to keeping adult bodies strong and active. Under limited supervision, the Treasury Manager will be responsible for distributor claims review and reconciliation, monitoring and review of accounts receivables and ageing analysis, review and monitoring of credit limit, accruals for expiries & OMC and dealing with distributors.

What You'll do-

  • Distributor claims review and settlement within specified time limits.
  • Reconciliation of distributor claims/ debit notes / receivables on periodic basic.
  • Maintain claims tracking spreadsheets by distributor/division.
  • Ensure follow up for due and overdue invoices for the month with customer.
  • Prepare and provide AR aging analysis (statement) to all the stake holders on timely basis.
  • Ensure all customer profiles are updated for each customer with updated price list as per the contract / agreed terms.
  • Monitor / update the credit limit by customer and highlight the risks if any to the management.
  • Prepare the workings for accruals with full back up documents on monthly basis before month end for Sales reduction and other manufacturing cost.
  • Participate in Internal & External Audits.
  • Perform adhoc analysis as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance is required. MBA/CPA is desirable. Minimum 3-5 years post qualification experience in accounting.
  • Requires strong oral and written communication skills with ability to adjust style depending on the audience.
  • Experience in a Shared Services and Regional environment is highly desirable PC Skills: Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint is required.
  • Ethical person with a background that will impeccably withstand the scrutiny of a detailed background check.
  • Experience in Treasury, credit / collections or FPA is desirable. Some exposure to commercial finance transactions is expected.
