A construction company in Dubai is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Draftsman to prepare detailed drawings and support design activities. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in large-scale projects, proficiency in AutoCAD, and strong coordination skills. The role involves collaboration with engineers and maintaining documentation to ensure compliance with project standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Civil/Structural Draftsman, preferably in large-scale building projects.
• Strong understanding of civil works excavation and temporary shoring systems.
• Experience in complex projects involving large basements and steel-concrete interface coordination.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop detailed civil and structural drawings including early works such as: Site facilities layouts, Excavation drawings, Temporary shoring works.
• Support design and drafting activities during the early construction phases.
• Coordinate with engineers and project teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of drawings.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards and guidelines.
• Assist in resolving design and drafting issues during coordination between steel and concrete structures.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure revisions are tracked and updated.

Key Qualifications

• Diploma or Technical Certification in Civil/Structural Drafting or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Civil/Structural Draftsman preferably in large-scale building projects in the UAE/GCC.
• Profic in AutoCAD and other drafting software; knowledge of BIM/Revit is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of civil works excavation and temporary shoring systems.
• Experience in civil works and structural coordination.
• Experience in complex projects involving large basements and steelconcrete interface coordination.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
