GECO M&E LTD in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Project Engineer to manage engineering aspects of substations from initiation to completion.

You will coordinate with clients, contractors and internal teams to ensure projects meet specifications, budget and schedule, while upholding safety and quality standards. Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering is a MUST.
• 5 years of experience working in substations (33KV/133KV or above) is a MUST.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating detailed project plans with timelines, milestones, resource allocation and budget requirements.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and engineers to ensure project requirements are understood and met.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining project schedules, including defining project tasks, dependencies and timelines.
• Analyze and review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and feasibility for construction.
• Address technical challenges and issues that arise during the construction phase with solutions.
• Ensure that all engineering practices and project activities comply with relevant codes and regulations.
• Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring work is performed according to the project plans and specifications.
• Implement quality control procedures to monitor construction work and ensure it meets required standards.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations on-site to maintain a safe working environment.
• Generate and maintain detailed reports on project progress including budget, schedule and issues.
• Maintain accurate project documentation including drawings, change orders and correspondence.
• Keep records of daily activities, materials used and changes to scope or schedule.
• Assist in tracking project expenses and ensuring costs are controlled within budget.
• Coordinate procurement of materials and resources for timely availability.
• Provide input on cost estimates and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
• Serve as a point of contact for project inquiries and communicate with stakeholders.
• Coordinate the efforts of the project team to ensure smooth execution.
