Job summary

Dashco in Dubai, UAE is seeking a Civil Estimation Engineer to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for civil construction projects, including infrastructure, earthworks, roads, and utilities.

You will analyze drawings and specifications, perform quantity take-offs, evaluate subcontractor quotes, coordinate with project teams, and assist tender submissions while monitoring budget trends and supporting value engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Experience in civil estimating or related construction roles.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials and codes.
• Proficient in estimating software (e.g. Bluebeam Heavy Bid PlanSwift AutoCAD or similar).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specifications and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment and subcontractors.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure estimates align with project goals and constraints.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project scope and conditions.
• Maintain and organize drawing files and related documents in accordance with company standards.
• Assist in the preparation of tender submissions, bid documents and project proposals.
• Monitor cost trends and provide feedback on project budgeting and forecasting.
• Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
