Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join the Sharjah, UAE team to support road, footpath, and infrastructure works. The role requires supervising civil works, ensuring adherence to drawings, specs, quality and safety, and coordinating permits and inspections.

Candidates should have a Civil Engineering degree, hands-on experience with road projects, and familiarity with municipal approvals, documentation, and site inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Relevant practical experience in road construction, footpaths, and infrastructure works.
• Experience dealing with municipalities, inspectors, NOCs, approvals, and site inspections.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, site execution, documentation, and safety requirements.
• Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Degree and educational documents must be duly attested.
• UAE Certificate of Equivalency is mandatory.
• A valid Engineering Association/Society membership card is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and follow up on road construction, footpath, and associated civil works.
• Monitor site execution and ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality, and safety requirements.
• Review drawings and coordinate construction activities at site.
• Coordinate and follow up NOCs, permits, approvals, inspections, and related documentation.
• Liaise professionally with municipality inspectors and relevant authorities regarding ongoing contracts and site activities.
• Coordinate with the concerned Contracts/Contract Affairs teams regarding ongoing contractual matters and requirements.
• Follow up daily site activities, progress, inspections, and outstanding matters.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and site safety requirements.
• Prepare progress updates, site reports, and other required documentation.
• Report directly to the Project Manager and Project Engineer.
• Support the timely execution and completion of assigned project sectors and work fronts.
