Job summary

NES Fircroft seeks a Civil Engineer for the STATCOM QURM Project to supervise night-shift civil construction at the substation site in Abu Dhabi. This is a 6-month assignment, with duties including subcontractor coordination, QA/QC, HSE, and ensuring on-time completion.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 5–10 years of experience in substation construction (132kV/220kV/400kV). UAE utility project exposure and TAQA competency are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in substation construction preferred.
• Familiarity with UAE utility projects and client/consultant coordination is preferred.
• TAQA competency as Civil Engineer is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all civil construction activities during the night shift.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, surveyors, QA/QC, and HSE teams to ensure safe and timely execution of works.
• Monitor progress against the approved schedule and ensure productivity targets are achieved.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, method statements, and permit requirements.
• Coordinate with the day shift team to ensure smooth work continuity and proper handover.
• Report daily progress, issues, resource requirements, and site constraints.
• Liaise with EDF/TAQA representatives, consultants, and project management as required.
• Ensure quality workmanship and immediate resolution of site execution issues.

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
