Job summary

LARSEN TOUBRO LIMITED in Abu Dhabi is looking for a civil engineer to lead the structural design and analysis of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Responsibilities include developing engineering drawings and managing site selection and geotechnical investigations.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering, a PE license, and 5+ years of experience, including energy infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to oversee the construction phase of civil works, providing valuable technical guidance throughout the process.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with at least 2 years focused on energy infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in the design and construction of foundations, reinforced concrete structures, and earthworks.

• Develop and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations for BESS foundations, containment structures, and ancillary buildings.
• Manage the site selection and geotechnical investigation process for BESS projects, interpreting soil reports and recommending appropriate foundation solutions.
• Oversee the construction phase of BESS civil works, providing technical guidance, resolving site issues, and ensuring adherence to design intent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with at least 2 years focused on energy infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in the design and construction of foundations, reinforced concrete structures, and earthworks.
