Job summary

Confidential Company in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an Electrical Site Engineer to review drawings and specifications, plan resources and daily work schedules, and supervise site civil works to ensure timely completion.

You will conduct daily briefings, enforce safety procedures, coordinate with QA/QC consultants and clients, monitor progress, and ensure quality to prevent rework and minimize waste.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of experience in electrical site engineering, with at least 1 year in high-voltage cable installation (132kV or above) preferred.
• Experience in other utilities/roads and infrastructure projects will be considered.
• Strong underground cable trenching, ducting, backfilling, and utility protection knowledge.
• Familiarity with national and international standards related to high-voltage installations/utility installation.

Review drawings and specifications Plan resources and daily work schedules Supervise site civil works and ensure timely completion Conduct daily briefings and enforce safety procedures Coordinate with QA QC consultants and clients Track and report daily progress Ensure quality prevent rework and minimize waste Participate in inspections risk assessments and documentation Support sustainability and wellbeing practices Assist in project close-out and handover activities Supervise underground civil works including excavation duct and trough installation HDD NDRC backfilling and associated infrastructure works Review and interpret cable route layouts and trench cross-sections Coordinate closely with electrical engineers safety officers subcontractors and authorities Monitor site progress and prepare weekly monthly progress reports Conduct site inspections and enforce quality standards Address technical issues and challenges during site execution Verify that materials workmanship and installations strictly adhere to approved specifications drawings and client requirements ensuring zero compromise on quality Support in preparing as-built drawings and reconciliation for final documentation Verify and monitor subcontractor performance in line with project scope and timelines Ensure compliance with client specifications and coordinate for necessary approvals Maintain up-to-date records of site activities material usage and manpower allocation Conduct joint measurements and support quantity surveyors for billing and certifications Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely material availability as per site needs Assist the Project Engineer and Project Manager in preparing technical submittals method statements and construction schedules Actively participate in project review meetings and progress discussions Monitor site housekeeping and environmental compliance Ensure all planned RFIs Request for Inspections meet authority requirements and are prepared accurately to avoid rejection Mentor junior staff and site supervisors to ensure proper technical guidance and implementation of best practices
