A leading engineering firm is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to supervise overhead transmission line projects in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and 5–7 years of experience in EHV/HV projects. Responsibilities include managing civil activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and liaising with clients for project approvals. GCC or UAE experience is preferred.
Supervise and manage all civil activities along the OHL route — survey, excavation, foundation, stub setting, and concreting.
Review and ensure implementation of approved drawings, method statements, and specifications.
Conduct route surveys and verify tower coordinates, RLs, and alignment before foundation marking.
Coordinate with design team for foundation type approval based on soil conditions.
Ensure rebar, formwork, and concrete works are done as per ITP and quality standards.
Supervise pile foundation works (if applicable) including casing, boring, reinforcement, and concreting.
Maintain daily progress reports, material consumption logs, and equipment utilization.
Liaise with client/consultant for inspections, testing, and approvals.
Ensure safety compliance, conduct toolbox talks, and maintain housekeeping at site.
Coordinate with electrical and logistics teams for tower erection readiness.
Participate in punch list clearance, as-built preparation, and handover documentation.
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
5–7 years of professional experience in EHV/HV overhead transmission line projects (132kV and above).
Proven experience in foundation, tower erection, and route works for transmission lines.
Prior exposure to utility projects (DEWA / TRANSCO / SEC / Etihad / Kahramaa / MEW) is highly preferred.
Sound understanding of project execution, QA/QC, and HSE requirements at site.
Capable of handling multiple tower locations, subcontractors, and daily progress monitoring.
GCC or UAE experience is an added advantage.
