Job summary

Absolute Technical Systems LLP seeks a Civil Construction Manager to lead major oil & gas civil works in Abu Dhabi. You will oversee earthworks, foundations, buildings, and utilities, coordinating multi-discipline teams to meet safety, schedule, and budget targets.

Role requires 15–20 years in civil construction with 3–4 years on ADNOC projects, deep knowledge of QA/QC, HSE, and Permit-to-Work systems. You will report to the project leadership and ensure compliant, on-time project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 15–20 years total civil construction experience.
• 3–4 years ADNOC Oil & Gas project experience mandatory.
• Greenfield and Brownfield Oil & Gas project experience.
• Strong knowledge of planning, resource management, and execution.
• Understanding of ADNOC specs, QA/QC, HSE and Permit-to-Work.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams safely and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete execution of civil construction activities.

• Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, QA/QC, and HSE teams.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Identify risks and implement corrective plans.
• Plan work fronts to maximize productivity.
• Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections and handover.
• Liaise with clients and main contractors to resolve issues.
• Ensure safe practices and incident-free environment.
• Support project planning meetings and final handover.

Qualifications & Experience

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete execution of civil construction activities, including earthworks, mass foundations, concrete structures, buildings, underground utilities, roads, and infrastructure works.
• Lead and supervise Civil Engineers, Supervisors, Foremen, and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient, and timely project execution.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, QA/QC, and HSE teams to ensure smooth multidisciplinary construction activities.
• Ensure all civil works comply with project specifications, approved drawings, method statements, ADNOC standards, and quality requirements.
• Monitor construction progress, productivity, manpower, equipment utilization, and material availability to achieve project milestones.
• Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, highlighting productivity, resource allocation, and construction status.
• Identify construction risks, schedule delays, and resource constraints, implementing effective corrective and recovery plans.
• Plan work fronts and optimize manpower, machinery, and material utilization to maximize productivity.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections, testing, documentation, and handover activities.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and main contractors to resolve technical and construction-related issues efficiently.
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE policies, permit-to-work procedures, and company safety standards, maintaining an incident-free work environment.
• Participate in project planning meetings by providing construction inputs, resource forecasts, and progress updates.
• Support project completion, punch-list clearance, and final handover in accordance with contractual and client requirements.
