Job summary

Sundus Gulf in Ajman is seeking a Network Engineer to design, deploy, operate, and secure the organization’s network and related systems. You will support servers, electronic systems, and connectivity to ensure reliable, secure network services across the company.

The role requires a minimum of five years of hands-on network experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and strong knowledge of network architecture, security, and cloud networking concepts.

Qualifications

Job Title : Network Engineer

Job Location: Ajman

Job Purpose

The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, upgrading, operating, maintaining, and securing network infrastructure and related systems. The role ensures the reliability, performance, security, and readiness of network services, servers, electronic systems, and supporting infrastructure across the organization. The position also contributes to the continuous development and improvement of network infrastructure and technology capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the implementation of the organization's operational infrastructure plan.
Identify, evaluate, and select appropriate network and server systems, equipment, and related technologies.
Design, implement, maintain, and continuously upgrade network and server infrastructure to ensure optimal availability and performance.
Provide technical support for the installation, testing, configuration, and operation of operating systems, network infrastructure, and related systems.
Ensure the technical and operational efficiency, availability, and readiness of databases, systems, network devices, and equipment supporting organizational units.
Design, test, maintain, and continuously upgrade the organization's core network, internal network, infrastructure equipment, and various tecd inte
hnology support systems.
Provide technical support for the implementation
gration of electronic connectivity and communication between different systems.
Perform regular, preventive, and corrective maintenance of network devices, operating systems, and supporting infrastructure to ensure availability and optimal performance.
Monitor system and network performance and implement necessary modifications, upgrades, and improvements to maintain required service levels.
Design and implement network systems and infrastructure, including technical hardware, software, network equipment, and related sites.
Establish and configure network environments, including system configurations, installations, and technical deployments.
Document network configurations, installations, and compliance with applicable international standards and best practices.
Monitor network performance, identify and troubleshoot network issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and service interruptions.
Plan and execute network upgrades, maintenance activities, and scheduled infrastructure improvements.
Maintain network security and implement appropriate technical measures to protect network infrastructure, systems, and electronic resources.
Support the development and enhancement of network architecture in line with organizational requirements and technology standards.
Maintain accurate technical documentation, network diagrams, configurations, procedures, and infrastructure records.
Coordinate with internal teams and technical stakeholders to resolve network and infrastructure-related issues and ensure business continuity.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, infrastructure, or a related field.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related discipline.
Strong knowledge of enterprise network architecture, infrastructure, and network security.
Hands-on experience with LAN/WAN, routing, switching, network monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of network and server infrastructure, operating systems, and related technologies.
Experience in network design, implementation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
Understanding of network security principles and infrastructure protection.
Knowledge of cloud networking concepts and technologies.
Ability to prepare and maintain technical documentation and network configurations.
Strong communication, coordination, and technical support skills.

Preferred Professional Certifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical/engineering discipline from a recognized university
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise
CompTIA Network+
Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP)
