Job summary

GAOGU CONTRACTING seeks a bilingual Chinese-English interpreter and translator to support the Department Head in Dubai. You will translate and interpret during meetings, site visits, and negotiations to ensure clear communication.

You will assist in coordinating with clients, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and prospective partners, prepare notes, and support follow-up communications and tender-related materials as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate Chinese-English and English-Chinese translation and interpretation during meetings and site visits.
• Assist the Department Head in communicating with clients, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and partners.
• Support communication related to new business opportunities, tenders, bids, and upcoming projects.
• Attend meetings with the Department Head and assist with interpretation, notes, and follow-up communication.
• Translate business correspondence, emails, technical documents, proposals, presentations, and other relevant documents as required.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely follow-up on client and contractor requirements.
• Assist in maintaining professional relationships with Chinese-speaking stakeholders and potential clients.
• Support in gathering and communicating information related to future business opportunities and project requirements.
• Assist with tender and prequalification-related communication where Chinese language support is required.
• Maintain confidentiality of business, commercial, project, and client information.
• Undertake other translation, coordination, and business-support responsibilities assigned by the Department Head.
