Myn in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team. You will diagnose and treat mental health, developmental and behavioural conditions in children and young people, collaborating with psychologists, educators, and families to deliver safe, evidence-based care.

Requirements include medical degree, specialist qualification in Psychiatry with subspecialty in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, a minimum of three years post-specialty

Qualifications

• Ability to assess and diagnose complex pediatric mental health conditions.
• Proven competence in developing and monitoring treatment plans including pharmacotherapy.
• Proficiency in clinical documentation and compliance with UAE health regulations.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments for children and adolescents.
• Diagnose and manage ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, depression, mood and behavioural disorders.
• Develop and review individualized treatment plans with medication management.
• Provide crisis intervention and coordinate urgent care and referrals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists, social workers, and educators.
• Counsel parents and caregivers, offering psychoeducation on diagnosis and treatment.
• Maintain confidential records in line with UAE regulations and participate in quality improvement.
• Participate in community outreach on child mental health.

Job Title: Child Psychiatrist

Salary: AED 420,000 - 720,000 per year (AED 35,000 - 60,000 per month), depending on qualifications and experience, plus benefits

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team in Dubai. You will diagnose and treat mental health, developmental and behavioural conditions in children and young people, working closely with psychologists, therapists, educators and families to deliver safe, evidence-based, family-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations for children and adolescents
• Diagnose and manage conditions such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, depression, mood and behavioural disorders, and trauma-related conditions
• Develop and review individualised treatment plans, including medication management and monitoring
• Provide risk assessment and crisis intervention, including coordination of urgent care and referrals
• Work with psychologists, social workers, speech and occupational therapists and school teams as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Counsel and support parents and caregivers, including psychoeducation on diagnosis and treatment
• Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records in line with UAE health regulations and data protection requirements
• Contribute to clinical governance, case reviews, quality improvement and team supervision
• Take part in community awareness, training and outreach programmes on child mental health

Requirements

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) from a recognised institution
• Specialist qualification in Psychiatry and subspecialty training or certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (or equivalent)
• A minimum of 3 years of post-specialty experience, with experience in child and adolescent services
• A valid DHA (Dubai Health Authority) license, or eligibility to obtain one before starting
• Strong skills in assessment, diagnosis, medication management and clinical documentation
• Excellent communication in English. Arabic is a strong advantage.
• Cultural sensitivity, empathy and sound ethical judgement when working with children and families
• Experience in neurodevelopmental assessment and in school or community settings is preferred
