Job summary

SearchPlus HR is seeking an experienced and compassionate Child Psychiatrist in Dubai to provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children and adolescents, with follow-up care and collaboration with families, schools, and healthcare professionals.

The role involves risk assessments, prescribing medications when appropriate, psychotherapy coordination, crisis management, safeguarding, and maintaining confidential records in compliance with UAE regulations.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry.
• Recognized subspecialty qualification/training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, where applicable.
• Current UAE professional license or eligibility for licensing.
• Valid BLS certification; additional certification may be required according to facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnose children and adolescents.
• Prescribe and monitor medications when appropriate.
• Provide psychotherapy or coordinate psychological and behavioral interventions within the physician's scope.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists, therapists, pediatricians, and other specialists.
• Coordinate care with schools and families; provide crisis assessment and management.
• Maintain confidential medical records and ensure safeguarding procedures.
• Participate in audits, CME/CPD activities, and professional education.
• Follow UAE regulations and facility policies, patient-safety requirements.

Education

MBBS / MBChB or equivalent
