Job summary

NMC Healthcare in Abu Dhabi seeks a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist (Consultant/Specialist) to assess, diagnose, and treat psychiatric disorders in infants, children, and adolescents. You will develop individualized treatment plans, provide psychotherapy and medication management, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support families and promote youths' mental health.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Completion of a Psychiatry residency.
• Fellowship or board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Valid medical license or eligibility for UAE licensure (DOH/HAAD, DHA, MOH).
• Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialty clinical experience (depending on Specialist or Consultant).

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations.
• Diagnose and treat pediatric psychiatric conditions including ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, bipolar, tic disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and supervise medications.
• Provide psychotherapy and family counseling.
• Educate families about diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across specialties.
• Maintain accurate medical records and participate in CME and teaching as applicable.
• Address psychiatric emergencies and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
