Job summary

Accurey seeks a founding CTO to lead engineering, own the core platform architecture, and drive the regulatory posture for SOC 2 Type I this year and ISO 27001 to follow.

You will lead in Abu Dhabi on-site, with travel to Luxembourg, London and Riyadh as needed for client and regulator meetings, and you will help shape the next three years of the platform while building a team. Founding-team equity and UAE relocation support are offered.

Job description

Accurey builds governance and compliance infrastructure for private capital markets across Europe and the Gulf. We're hiring our founding CTO — take engineering leadership from the CEO, own the core platform architecture and delivery, and carry the compliance posture (SOC 2 Type I this year, ISO 27001 to follow).

This is a founding hire: the product is in market, the first pilots are live, and the seed round is closing. You are not inheriting a blueprint — you are drawing the next three years of it.

Responsibilities

• Take engineering leadership and own the technical bar
• Architect and deliver the core Accurey platform across Europe and the Gulf
• Carry the compliance posture — SOC 2 Type I this year, ISO 27001 to follow
• Hire and grow the engineering team (Abu Dhabi on-site and distributed contractors)
• Represent Accurey to regulators, auditors and institutional counterparties as principal engineer in the room

Requirements

• 8+ years building production systems, with real time inside a regulated industry (RegTech, Fintech, Legaltech, or adjacent)
• Review code as comfortably as you run a sprint — hands-on technical leader
• Operated across more than one jurisdiction and understand why that matters
• Composure to hold a room of regulators, auditors and institutional buyers
• Strong Technical skills

Nice to Have

• Working familiarity with sovereign identity frameworks (UAE PASS, eIDAS, Nafath, SingPass)
• Working knowledge of compliance regimes — DORA, GDPR, or SFDR
