Job summary

Miral Experiences is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to ensure smooth operation within the Food & Beverage department at our Abu Dhabi venues. You will manage the Stewarding team, maintain hygiene per HACCP standards, and control chemical costs.

You will schedule weekly shifts, enforce safety, collaborate with outlets, and support the F&B culinary philosophy while upholding Farah's values.

Qualifications

1-2 years in a similar role or 4 years as Assistant Chief Steward.
Ability to work under pressure.
Leadership and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Display a friendly, helpful attitude when interacting with Guests and Colleagues.
Represent Miral Experiences professionally to stakeholders.
Assist in achieving department and company KPIs and action plans.
Adhere to UAE laws and HSE policies; report safety concerns.
Prepare weekly stewarding schedules reflecting business needs.
Encourage colleagues to be creative and maintain cost efficiency.
Support the F&B culinary philosophy and company values.
Order kitchen cleaning supplies and manage inventory par stock.
Ensure sanitary guidelines are followed across kitchen and back-of-house areas.
Maintain proper use of chemicals to minimize costs.
Balance staffing to maximize productivity without compromising service.
Clean and restock kitchen equipment for all outlets and banquets.
Collaborate with outlets on equipment needs and placement.
Monitor stewarding operations, especially during peak times.

About The Role

To ensure a smooth and efficient operation in the Food & Beverage Department in relation to the Company Core Process; thus directly impacting the delivery of the experience.

This position manages the Stewarding team and carries out quarterly inventory of operating equipment; responsible for maintaining the kitchen’s hygienic condition, as per HACCP standards. Ensures that departmental chemical costs are kept within the budget.

Key Responsibilities

To display a friendly, helpful and cheerful attitude while communicating effectively with our Guests and fellow Colleagues in order to support Farah Strategy and Values
To represent and promote Farah in a positive manner at all times in order to maintain a professional brand image to all concerned stakeholders
To help achieve department and Company objectives, action plans and key performance indicators
To enforce and adhere to all UAE laws, Health, Safety & Environmental policies, industry and Company rules and regulations, reporting any safety concerns or incidents to management in order to minimize risk and maintain a clean safe and hygienic environment for all Guests and Colleagues
Adhere to all emergency procedures, ensuring Guest safety and participate in an evacuation if necessary
To prepare and post weekly work schedules for Stewarding Colleagues, making sure that they reflect business needs and other key performance indicators
To encourage Colleagues to be creative and innovative, challenging and recognizing them for their contribution to the success of the operation
To support the implementation of The F&B Culinary philosophy, demonstrating and reinforcing Farah’s Values and Culture characteristics
To assume responsibility of ordering all the kitchen cleaning supplies in order to maintain the inventory par stock
To ensure all areas of responsibility are organized in order to maintain them according to sanitary guidelines
To ensure proper use of cleaning products and chemicals in a continuous effort in order to keep costs to a minimum
To adjust or balance the size of Colleagues in order to maximize productivity without sacrificing Guest service
To ensure the cleanliness of all kitchen and back-of-house areas of Food and Beverage
To clean and restock all operating equipment for all outlets and banquets
To liaise closely with the outlet Colleagues with regards to their needs for operating equipment and its placement
To monitor all Stewarding operations, especially during peak business periods, assisting and making adjustments where necessary

Essential Qualifications & Experience

High School Diploma
1-2 years’ same role or 4 years as Assistant Chief Steward
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to work well with others as a team member
Able to spend long hours standing if required
Good Communication and listening skills
Leadership skills
Attention to details
Problem solving skills

Desirable

College Diploma in food services or culinary arts
Soft Skills (Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
Multiple Language Skills (Native Language and English Language)
