Qualifikationen

• 12+ years of experience within banking or financial services.
• Experience in a senior risk leadership capacity within a UAE-regulated financial institution; CRO level experience is highly desirable.
• Broad expertise across credit, market, liquidity, operational, strategic and other non-financial risk disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of UAE banking regulation, prudential risk frameworks, capital and liquidity requirements, stress testing, recovery planning, and risk governance.

• Set the overall risk direction for the organisation, ensuring major financial and non-financial exposures are understood, challenged, and managed within clearly defined boundaries.
• Provide independent advice to executive and Board-level stakeholders, translating complex risk information into clear implications, priorities, and decisions.
• Strengthen the organisation’s risk operating model by improving governance, escalation, accountability, and consistency across business and control functions.
• Oversee forward-looking assessments of capital strength, liquidity resilience, adverse scenarios, and contingency readiness to support sound balance sheet and strategic planning.
• Maintain effective regulatory engagement and ensure supervisory expectations, reviews, and remediation actions are addressed in a timely and sustainable manner.
• Build a strong risk culture across the organisation, encouraging informed decision making, early identification of emerging issues, and clear ownership of risk.
• 12+ years of experience within banking or financial services.
• Experience in a senior risk leadership capacity within a UAE-regulated financial institution; previous experience operating at CRO or equivalent level is highly desirable.
• Broad expertise across: credit, market, liquidity, operational, strategic, and other non-financial risk disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of UAE banking regulation, prudential risk frameworks, capital and liquidity requirements, stress testing, recovery planning, and risk governance.
• Proven experience engaging regulators, senior executives, and Board committees on material risk issues, regulatory matters, and enterprise-wide risk priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, with postgraduate study and professional qualifications such as FRM, PRM, CFA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent considered advantageous.
