Job summary

K4 Group is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the Group's financial strategy, governance and performance in Dubai. You will work with the CEO, COO and senior teams to ensure strong financial control, profitability and cash flow across project-based operations.

Ideal candidates have a track record in UAE construction, interior fit-out, contracting, design & build or similar project-driven industries, with expertise in project costing, cash flow management and financial

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
CPA, ACCA, CA, CMA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
Minimum 12–15 years of progressive finance experience, including senior financial leadership.
Proven experience as CFO, Finance Director, Financial Controller or equivalent senior role.
Strong UAE experience, preferably within interior fit-out, construction, contracting, design & build or real estate.
Strong knowledge of project accounting, job costing, cash flow and profitability analysis.
Strong understanding of UAE VAT, corporate tax, audit and financial compliance.
Experience managing finance teams and working directly with senior management / Board.
Strong ERP and financial reporting system experience.
Excellent analytical, commercial and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute the Group’s financial strategy.
Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO and senior management.
Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.
Monitor financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to management.
Establish strong financial controls, policies and reporting standards.
Oversee financial performance across projects.
Monitor project budgets, costs and profitability.
Work with Project Managers on project financial performance.
Review project cost-to-complete and identify potential overruns.
Ensure accurate project costing and margin analysis.
Support commercial teams in contract reviews, variations, claims and payment terms.
Take ownership of cash flow planning and working capital management.
Monitor collections, payments, retention and project cash cycles.
Improve cash conversion and liquidity.
Maintain oversight of receivables and payables.
Oversee financial reporting and management accounts.
Establish KPIs and dashboards for management.
Ensure UAE accounting, tax, VAT and regulatory compliance.
Coordinate with external auditors, banks, tax advisors and other institutions.
Strengthen cost-control procedures across projects and operations.
Work with procurement to monitor costs.
Review major purchases and supplier terms.
Identify opportunities to improve margins and efficiency.

We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the Group’s financial strategy, governance and performance.

The CFO will be responsible for overseeing the complete finance function while working closely with the CEO, COO, project, commercial, procurement and operations teams to ensure strong financial control, profitability, cash flow and sustainable business growth.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in UAE construction, interior fit-out, contracting, design & build or a similar project-based industry, with a proven understanding of project costing, cash flow management, commercial finance and financial risk.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Leadership

Develop and execute the Group’s financial strategy in line with business objectives.
Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO and senior management.
Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.
Monitor financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to management.
Establish strong financial controls, policies and reporting standards.

Project & Commercial Finance

Oversee financial performance across residential fit-out and design & build projects.
Monitor project budgets, actual costs, commitments, variations and profitability.
Work closely with Project Managers and Commercial teams on project financial performance.
Review project cost-to-complete and identify potential cost overruns at an early stage.
Ensure accurate project costing and margin analysis.
Support commercial teams in contract reviews, variations, claims and payment terms.

Cash Flow & Working Capital

Take ownership of Group cash flow planning and working capital management.
Monitor client collections, supplier payments, retention and project cash cycles.
Develop effective strategies to improve cash conversion and liquidity.
Maintain close oversight of receivables and payables.
Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
Ensure accurate and timely management accounts and financial statements.
Establish meaningful financial KPIs and dashboards for management.
Ensure compliance with UAE accounting, tax, VAT and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with external auditors, banks, tax advisors and other financial institutions.

Cost Control & Procurement

Strengthen cost-control procedures across projects and operations.
Work with procurement and project teams to monitor material and subcontractor costs.
Review major purchases, supplier terms and financial commitments.
Identify opportunities to improve margins and operational efficiency.
Identify financial, commercial and operational risks across the business.
Develop appropriate controls to protect company assets and profitability.
Support management in evaluating new projects, investments and business opportunities.
Ensure appropriate financial due diligence for major contracts and commitments.
Lead, develop and mentor the finance and accounts team.
Establish clear responsibilities, processes and performance standards.
Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy and commercial awareness.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing finance for a project-driven business with multiple concurrent residential projects, including luxury villas, apartments and high-end interior fit-outs.

Experience with in-house manufacturing / joinery, marble, glazing, MEP or other project-related divisions would be an advantage, given K4’s integrated operating model.
