Job summary

Archirodon seeks a Chief Estimator in Dubai to lead the Estimation Team on large-scale Oil & Gas EPC projects. You will oversee cost estimation activities, develop standardized processes, and collaborate with project managers, engineers and procurement to ensure accurate and timely cost proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10 years in cost estimation for large Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Proficient in EPC cost estimation methods, take-offs, pricing, and risk analysis.
• Familiar with Oil & Gas standards and industry practices (upstream to downstream).
• Experience with industry-standard cost estimating software.
• Proven leadership and ability to communicate complex technical info.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Mentoring and Training - guide junior estimators and promote best practices.
• Staying Updated on Industry Trends - monitor estimation tech and practices.
• Negotiating and Managing Subcontracts - review proposals and manage subcontract terms.

What you will need to do:

• Leading and Managing Estimation Teams - This includes overseeing a team of estimators providing guidance and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all cost estimates.
• Developing and Implementing Estimation Processes - Establishing and refining standardized estimation methodologies tools and processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Analysing Project Documents - Thoroughly reviewing project plans specifications and other relevant documentation to identify scope requirements and potential risks.
• Developing Detailed Cost Estimates - Creating comprehensive cost estimates for all aspects of the EPC project including materials labour equipment subcontractors and indirect costs.
• Conducting Risk Assessments - Identifying potential cost overruns delays and other risks and developing mitigation strategies.
• Collaborating with Stakeholders - Working closely with project managers engineers procurement specialists and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure alignment on cost estimates.
• Presenting Estimates and Proposals- Preparing and presenting detailed cost estimates and proposals to senior management and clients effectively communicating the rationale behind the estimates.
• Mentoring and Training - Providing guidance and mentorship to junior estimators fostering a culture of continuous improvement and best practices.
• Staying Updated on Industry Trends - Keeping abreast of the latest cost estimation techniques software and industry best practices.
• Negotiating and Managing Subcontracts - Reviewing and negotiating subcontractor proposals and managing subcontract agreements.

What you will need to have:

• Bachelors degree in engineering (Civil).

• With Extensive experience (10 years) in cost estimation with a strong focus on large-scale Oil & Gas EPC projects.

• Proven expertise in EPC cost estimating methodologies including quantity take-offs pricing and risk analysis.

• Deep understanding of Oil & Gas industry standards regulations and practices including upstream midstream and downstream operations.

• With experience with industry-standard cost estimating software

• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams and effectively communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve cost-related issues.
