Job summary

Archirodon Group N.V. in Dubai is seeking two Chief Estimators to join our Estimation Team.

You will lead and mentor a team of estimators, develop cost estimates for large-scale Oil & Gas EPC projects, and coordinate with project managers, engineers and procurement to ensure accuracy and timely delivery. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 10+ years in cost estimation with EPC experience; deep knowledge of estimation methodologies, risk analysis and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical engineering.
• 10+ years of cost estimation experience in large-scale Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Proven EPC cost estimating methodologies including quantity take-offs, pricing and risk analysis.
• Deep understanding of Oil & Gas industry standards, regulations and practices.
• Experience with industry-standard cost estimating software.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams and communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve cost-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Estimation Teams, ensuring accuracy and timely cost estimates.
• Develop and implement estimation processes and standardized methodologies/tools.
• Analyse project documents to identify scope requirements and risks.
• Develop detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment, subcontractors and indirect costs.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement and other stakeholders.
• Present estimates and proposals to senior management and clients with clear rationale.
• Mentor and train junior estimators.
• Stay updated on estimation techniques and software trends.
• Negotiate and manage subcontract agreements.

What you will need to do:

• Leading and Managing Estimation Teams - This includes overseeing a team of estimators providing guidance and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all cost estimates.
• Developing and Implementing Estimation Processes - Establishing and refining standardized estimation methodologies tools and processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Analysing Project Documents - Thoroughly reviewing project plans specifications and other relevant documentation to identify scope requirements and potential risks.
• Developing Detailed Cost Estimates - Creating comprehensive cost estimates for all aspects of the EPC project including materials labour equipment subcontractors and indirect costs.
• Conducting Risk Assessments - Identifying potential cost overruns delays and other risks and developing mitigation strategies.
• Collaborating with Stakeholders - Working closely with project managers engineers procurement specialists and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure alignment on cost estimates.
• Presenting Estimates and Proposals- Preparing and presenting detailed cost estimates and proposals to senior management and clients effectively communicating the rationale behind the estimates.
• Mentoring and Training - Providing guidance and mentorship to junior estimators fostering a culture of continuous improvement and best practices.
• Staying Updated on Industry Trends - Keeping abreast of the latest cost estimation techniques software and industry best practices.
• Negotiating and Managing Subcontracts - Reviewing and negotiating subcontractor proposals and managing subcontract agreements.

What you will need to have:

• Bachelors degree in engineering (Civil or Mechanical).

• With Extensive experience (10 years) in cost estimation with a strong focus on large-scale Oil & Gas EPC projects.

• Proven expertise in EPC cost estimating methodologies including quantity take-offs pricing and risk analysis.

• Deep understanding of Oil & Gas industry standards regulations and practices including upstream midstream and downstream operations.

• With experience with industry-standard cost estimating software

• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams and effectively communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve cost-related issues.
