Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Head Of Data Science & Credit Risk in the United Arab Emirates to lead ML-powered underwriting and risk decisioning across markets. You will own end-to-end risk models from development to monitoring and impact measurement.

You will build a high-performing team, collaborate with Engineering, Product, Finance, and executives, and translate analytics into decisions that support sustainable growth while improving approval rates and responsible

Qualifications

• 10+ years of combined experience across data science, ML, and consumer credit risk.
• Experience in fintech, digital lending, BNPL, or earned wage access.
• Production ML: building, deploying, and monitoring models in real-time decisioning.
• Strong statistical foundation with ML approaches.
• SQL fluency and cloud data platforms experience.
• Excellent communication to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead ML model design, testing, deployment, and improvement for credit decisioning and risk.
• Develop underwriting algorithms using alternative data while expanding access.
• Build real-time or near-real-time scoring across markets and products.
• Establish model governance for interpretability, robustness, and drift monitoring.
• Lead MLOps practices: experimentation, versioning, deployment, monitoring.
• Define credit risk framework, policies, thresholds, and customer segmentation.
• Monitor portfolio metrics, investigate changes, and design early-warning indicators.
• Lead A/B testing and experimentation to refine decisioning strategies.
• Oversee stress testing and provisioning in collaboration with Finance.
• Guide risk models and policies for new markets with regulatory alignment.
• Mentor data scientists and risk analysts; contribute to hands-on model development.
• Own the data science and credit risk roadmap; align with business growth.
