Aventus Global Talent is seeking a Chief Compliance Officer in the UAE to lead the compliance function with a strong governance framework. The role requires building relationships with regulators and guiding strategic policy across product, technology and commercial initiatives.

You will oversee AML/CFT, sanctions, and consumer protection, while mentoring the team and shaping a culture of integrity and accountability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
• 13+ years' experience within Compliance, with senior leadership in traditional banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of the UAE regulatory environment with credibility engaging with regulators.
• Proven experience leading Regulatory Compliance and governance frameworks with conduct risk knowledge.
• Experience advising Boards and senior stakeholders with independent, balanced oversight.
• Ability to embed compliance into business strategy, product development and commercial decisions.
• Experience in digital banking, payments, fintech or regulated expansion.
• Strong knowledge of AML/CFT, sanctions and anti-bribery and corruption with MLRO collaboration.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management in fast-paced environments.

Aufgaben

• Lead Regulatory Compliance and Conduct framework with governance and high standards of business conduct.
• Provide strategic compliance advice and challenge to CEO, Board and senior management.
• Build strong relationships with regulators, especially CBUAE, and manage regulatory change initiatives.
• Embed Compliance by Design across Product, Tech and commercial decisions.
• Oversee development of compliance policies and governance across the organisation.
• Provide oversight across conduct risk, consumer protection and regulatory matters.
• Work with MLRO on financial crime risk management, AML/CFT and sanctions.
• Identify emerging regulatory risks and mitigation strategies for expansion and new propositions.
• Lead, develop and mentor the compliance function and culture.
