Job summary

Arootah, a talent solutions firm serving the alternative investment industry, seeks a Chief Compliance Officer to design, implement and oversee robust compliance programs for hedge funds, private equity firms, and family offices in the region.

You will lead regulatory advisory, governance improvements, and ongoing monitoring, partnering with leadership to strengthen controls and ensure audits and examinations run smoothly.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience as CCO or equivalent in hedge funds, private equity, or family offices.
• Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements for alternative investments.
• Proven track record designing and managing compliance programs.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to operate strategically and hands-on in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and enhance compliance programs for alternative investment firms
• Advise on SEC regulations, regulatory reporting, marketing rules, and governance best practices
• Conduct compliance reviews, risk assessments, and internal policy evaluations
• Support regulatory examinations, audits, and institutional due diligence processes
• Partner with leadership teams to strengthen governance and operational controls
• Manage compliance infrastructure, service providers, and ongoing monitoring frameworks

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Chief Compliance Officer or equivalent senior compliance leadership role within a hedge fund, private equity firm, or family office
• Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks within alternative investments
• Proven track record of building and managing effective compliance programs
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in dynamic environments
