Chemistry Teacher - GCSE A Level in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is an exciting Primary-Secondary Education opportunity for a science educator who can deliver strong Chemistry instruction, support examination success, and contribute to an outstanding British curriculum school environment.

Position: Chemistry Teacher – GCSE & A Level

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Industry: Primary‑Secondary Education

Job Type: Full‑time

Salary: AED 13,000–21,000 (tax‑free, subject to confirmation)

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Chemistry to secondary students with a clear focus on GCSE and A Level curriculum expectations.
  • Plan purposeful lessons that develop scientific understanding, practical investigation skills, chemical reasoning, and exam technique.
  • Deliver engaging learning experiences covering core Chemistry areas such as atomic structure, bonding, energetics, kinetics, organic chemistry, quantitative chemistry, and chemical analysis.
  • Support students in building confidence with laboratory work, data interpretation, scientific writing, and structured problem solving.
  • Prepare students for internal assessments, external examinations, practical components, and higher‑level science progression.
  • Use assessment evidence, classwork, homework, and examination data to identify gaps and improve student achievement.
  • Create differentiated learning tasks that challenge high‑performing students while supporting learners who need additional guidance.
  • Promote curiosity, safe experimentation, independent thinking, and enthusiasm for science beyond the textbook.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management, student engagement, behaviour, and academic discipline.
  • Work closely with science department colleagues to support curriculum planning, moderation, resource development, and departmental improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and school leaders regarding progress, targets, and learning support.
  • Contribute to extra‑curricular science activities, community initiatives, academic enrichment, and wider school events.
  • Take part in professional development programmes and use reflective practice to strengthen teaching quality.

  • Follow safeguarding requirements and promote the welfare, safety, and wellbeing of all students.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Education is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science with PGCE, PGDE, or an equivalent teaching qualification is acceptable.
  • Proven experience teaching Chemistry to GCSE and A Level students.
  • Early Career Teachers with strong subject knowledge and readiness for international teaching may be considered.
  • Strong understanding of British curriculum Chemistry, examination specifications, assessment standards, and practical science requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding learning and teaching in a secondary school setting.
  • Creative and enthusiastic teaching style with the ability to make Chemistry accessible, relevant, and engaging.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, parents, teachers, and school leaders.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, professional development, and reflective teaching practice.
  • Willingness to contribute actively to extra‑curricular programmes, school community initiatives, and wider student development.
