Work standard is seeking a Chemical Engineer - Process Optimization Specialist based in Abu Dhabi to optimize chemical processes, improve plant performance and reduce costs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, 3+ years in manufacturing, strong data analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Travel within the UAE may be required; contract position without accommodation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proven experience in process optimization and cost reduction initiatives.
• Strong data analysis and interpretation of complex data sets.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience with data analysis tools (MATLAB, AspenTech) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for process optimization and improvement using chemical engineering principles.
• Analyze process data to identify trends, risks and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with production, quality control and maintenance to implement changes.
• Monitor plant performance and adjust processes based on data analysis.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Train and mentor junior engineers in process optimization techniques.
