Job summary

Workato is seeking a Chemical Engineer to join our Abu Dhabi Process Development team. The role focuses on developing and refining chemical processes to boost efficiency and product quality, while maintaining strict safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds a chemical engineering degree with hands-on experience in process development, DOE, and SPC, and can communicate effectively in English. UAE visa and full-time commitment required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in process development in chemical manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of process design, SPC and simulation software.
• DOE experience is preferred and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop new chemical processes for production

Chemical Engineer - Process Development

We are a leading chemical manufacturing company based in Abu Dhabi, UAE and we are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Chemical Engineer to join our Process Development team. As a Chemical Engineer, you will be responsible for developing new processes and optimizing existing ones to improve efficiency and quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop new chemical processes for production
• Conduct experiments to test new processes and analyze data to determine feasibility and effectiveness
• Optimize existing processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Troubleshoot process issues and provide solutions for improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Production, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all processes
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all process development activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in process development within the chemical manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles, process design, simulation software, and statistical process control (SPC)
• Experience with design of experiments (DOE) is preferred
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus)
