Qualifications

• Proven experience as a chef or cook in restaurants or hotels.
• Experience in planning menus and preparing meals according to customer preferences.
• Excellent understanding of flavor combinations, ingredients, food presentation, and cooking methods.
• Creative approach to menu planning and presentation.
• Ability to use the latest kitchen equipment and technology.
• Knowledge of health & safety regulations related to food preparation & storage.
• Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality dishes that adhere to our standards for taste, presentation, portion control, cost management and time management
• Monitor food preparation methods & portion sizes throughout the entire process
• Ensure that all kitchen staff adheres to food safety standards at all times
• Source fresh ingredients from local suppliers whenever possible
• Develop new recipes that are both innovative & cost-effective
• Train & supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques & safety protocols
• Monitor stock levels & order fresh supplies when required
