Job summary

Marriott Executive Apartments in Dubai is seeking an experienced cook to prepare meals, regulate oven temperatures, thaw and portion ingredients, and ensure quality and presentation.

You will assist in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling and coaching employees; uphold safety and security policies; ensure a clean, professional kitchen environment and timely communication with Food & Beverage service staff during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• License or certification: None.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards and checklist.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters; monitor cooking equipment.
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling and coaching employees; serve as role model.
• Inform Service staff of menu specials and ensure timely communication during busy periods.
• Ensure uniformity of food quality, safety practices and cleanliness in kitchen area.
