Job Overview

We are looking for a talented and passionate Chef de Partie – Pastry to join our culinary team, specializing in traditional and modern interpretations of Middle Eastern sweets and desserts, including Syrian, Lebanese, and Persian delicacies. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in producing high‑quality pastries, exceptional attention to detail, and a deep understanding of classic Arabic confectionery techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, produce, and present a wide variety of Arabic pastries and desserts, including Baklava (various styles), Maamoul, Knafeh, Basbousa, Atayef, Persian sweets like Zoolbia‑Bamieh, Sholeh Zard, and traditional nougat.
  • Maintain consistency in flavor, texture, and presentation according to brand standards.
  • Follow traditional recipes while contributing creative input for new product development and seasonal offerings.
  • Ensure proper storage, portioning, and shelf‑life control for all pastry products.
  • Assist in daily mise en place and work efficiently during service periods.
  • Work closely with the Head Pastry Chef in menu development and quality assurance.
  • Maintain the highest hygiene, health, and safety standards in compliance with HACCP.
  • Train and guide junior pastry staff as required.
  • Monitor kitchen equipment related to pastry and report maintenance needs.
  • Control waste and optimize ingredient usage and inventory rotation.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a professional pastry kitchen, preferably in a Middle Eastern or high‑end Arabic concept.
  • Proven expertise in traditional Arabic and Persian desserts and sweets.
  • Strong knowledge of sugar and syrup work, nut fillings, semolina‑based pastries, and dairy‑based confections.
  • Culinary diploma or relevant pastry certification is preferred.
  • Good understanding of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple orders during high‑volume periods.
  • Team player with a strong sense of responsibility and discipline.
  • Ability to follow recipes precisely and contribute to new innovations when required.
