Summary

We are seeking a Cast Technician who will play a vital role in supporting patient care and orthopedic treatment at one of the esteemed Government Hospital in Abu Dhabi. Your expertise in applying, adjusting, and removing casts and splints, along with your ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary medical team, will be essential in ensuring optimal recovery and patient comfort. This position contributes significantly to helping patients heal safely, maintain mobility, and achieve the best possible outcomes following orthopedic procedures or injuries.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, apply, and remove casts, splints, braces, and other orthopedic devices as prescribed by physicians.
  • Assist orthopedic surgeons and physicians during procedures requiring immobilization.
  • Instruct patients and families on proper care and maintenance of casts and splints.
  • Monitor patients for signs of complications such as swelling, pressure sores, or restricted circulation.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sterilization of casting materials and work areas.
  • Ensure proper fit, comfort, and function of orthopedic devices.
  • Record and maintain accurate documentation of procedures performed and materials used.
  • Stay updated on new casting techniques, materials, and safety practices in orthopedic care.
