Job summary

Dusit Thani Dubai is seeking an experienced carpenter to join our workshop team in the UAE. The selected candidate will perform carpentry tasks including repair and maintenance of furniture, doors, cabinets, shelves, and other wood items, and ensure quality finishes.

The role requires min 5 years of carpentry experience (GCC preferred), proficiency with hand and power tools, and a strong focus on safety and teamwork. High school or equivalent education is required.

Qualifications

• Min 5+ years carpentry experience, GCC experience preferred.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and finishing processes.
• Physically fit with ability to perform manual work.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure carpentry work orders are carried out promptly and correctly.
• Repair and maintain furniture, doors, cabinets, shelves, and other wood items.
• Prepare surfaces via sanding, filling, and smoothing wood materials.
• Apply stains, varnishes, lacquers, paints and polish finishes.
• Buff and polish furniture to the required finish quality and inspect for touch-ups.
• Operate and maintain carpentry and polishing tools safely; maintain a clean work area.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to complete projects efficiently.

• Ensure all carpentry and polishing work meets quality and safety standards
• Prepare surfaces by sanding

• Inspect finished products and perform touch-ups when necessary
• Operate and Maintain the carpentry tools and polishing tool equipment safely in the carpentry work shop
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to complete projects efficiently
• Good knowledge of construction materials and carpentry techniques.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual work.
• Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and time-management skills.
• Min 5yrs experience, prefer GCC experience.
