Job description
MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To develop, implement, and oversee cargo operational standards, manuals, and procedures that ensure compliance, consistency, and operational excellence across flydubai’s fleet by aligning cargo processes with regulatory, safety, and quality requirements for freighter, widebody and narrowbody fleets, ensuring seamless integration of new aircraft types into the cargo system and operational environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develops and maintains all cargo standards, operating procedures, and manuals (including Ground Handling Manual, Cargo Operations Manual, and Station Procedures) in compliance with GCAA, IATA, and flydubai policies.
  • Leads the standardization of cargo processes across the network to ensure consistency, safety, and quality in all freighter operations, B787 and existing narrowbody aircrafts.
  • Oversees development and implementation of loading, acceptance, and handling procedures for various cargo types including Dangerous Goods, perishables, live animals, and pharma in alignment with Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) and IATA standards.
  • Supports entry-into-service (EIS) for B787 and B737 freighters by establishing comprehensive procedures for Cargo Operations.
  • Conducts process audits and gap analyses across stations and handling partners to ensure procedural compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Leads training and awareness initiatives to enhance cargo operational knowledge and procedural adherence among internal teams and partners.
  • Liaises with regulatory authorities (GCAA, IATA) and Ground Handling Agents (GHA) to ensure cargo standards and manuals remain compliant and up to date.
  • Implements a document control and revision system to manage updates, versioning, and distribution of cargo procedures and work instructions.
  • Collaborates with Safety, Quality, and Compliance teams to ensure alignment of cargo operations standards with flydubai’s SMS and quality frameworks.
  • Leads and supports team activities by providing direction and technical guidance to ensure consistent application of cargo standards and procedures in line with operational, safety, and quality requirements across all aircraft types.

  • Bachelor's Degree (3+ years)

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in cargo operations, standards, or compliance, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role
